ARCHIVED MECHASSAULT ISSUES

While the majority of reports we are hearing from gamers about their Xbox Live experience with MechAssault® are positive, Microsoft and Day 1 Studios want to let you know that we are investigating a handful of reports of various issues that people are still seeing. Although Xbox Live has been able to effectively handle the myriad of router combinations better than any online service to date, the number one cause of most issues gamers are seeing is related to various combinations of routers (both compatible and not compatible). To see if you have a compatible router, please check out the router compatibility and workaround area at:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/connectionmethods/router.htm

One cautionary note here is that even if you are able to get on the service, it does not necessarily mean that you have a compatible router.

Just so you know, here are some tell-tale signs if you or someone you are playing with have an incompatible router?

If you happen to get in a lobby and can't talk to (or see) everyone, or you get dropped from sessions before they start or if you notice situations where other gamers you are playing with don't seem to move, this is most likely a result of you playing with another gamer on the service where one of you (or both of you) don't have a compatible router. Note that for some routers, you can make them compatible by following the step by step configuration instructions on the website above. The best fix for any of these issues is to make sure you are using a router on the approved compatibility list.
